Father Ryan Monument Vandalised

FrRyanVandalised

Piggy-backing on the New Orleans elites’ purge of monuments dedicated to Southern heroes, some ne’er-do-wells have decided that the slaughter of the shrines wasn’t continuing at a fast enough pace and decided to begin defacing and destroying the property themselves. One such monument to gain their ire was that of Father Abram Joseph Ryan, Poet-Priest of the South. Father Ryan’s works, though noted in love for his home of Dixie, were not confined to that topic, the majority of his poems being religious in nature, reflecting upon spiritual mysteries. These “cultural cleansers,” comprised of self proclaimed “anti-fascists,” defaced a New Orleans monument to Father Ryan, spraying a red anarchist emblem over the front. A hammer and chisel (a hammer and sickle would have been more appropriate) was laid before the monument, with a note to the public. The note furthered their infantile views, inviting all to “Take a few whacks! Carve your name! Chisel a penis! Mind the wet paint and have fun!”

For the pleasure of the viewer, and in contrast to the inane, self-destructive Marxist drivel presented by the vandals, Father Ryan’s own words are forwarded in his poem, “A Land Without Ruins.”

 YES, give me the land where the ruins are spread,
And the living tread light on the hearts of the dead;
Yes, give me a land that is blest by the dust
And bright with the deeds of the down-trodden just.
Yes, give me the land where the battle’s red blast
Has flashed to the future the fame of the past;
Yes, give me the land that hath legends and lays
That tell of the memories of long vanished days;
Yes, give me a land that hath story and song,
Enshrine the strife of the right with the wrong;
Yes, give me a land with a grave in each spot
And names in the graves that shall not be forgot;
Yes, give me the land of the wreck and the tomb–
There is grandeur in graves–there is glory in gloom;
For out of the gloom future brightness is born
As after the night comes the sunrise of morn;
And the graves of the dead with the grass overgrown
May yet form the footstool of liberty’s throne,
And each single wreck in the war-path of might,
Shall yet be a rock in the temple of right.

Could a greater contrast be considered? These delinquents and cultural degenerates only make the man shine all the more.

Father Ryan, ora pro nobis.

Our Lady of Victory

Our Lady of Victory

On this momentous day, 444 years ago,  a fleet of Papal, Spanish, Tuscany, Genoan, and Savoyan ships, under the title of the ‘Holy League,’ defeated the invading forces of the Moslems off the coast of Lepanto. The effects of this battle cannot be overemphasised: the victory halted the invasion of the West by Islam and preserved an already fractious Christianity from certain subjugation.

The near-miraculous victory itself was rightly attributed to Our Lady, the Mother of the Incarnate God. Pope Saint Pius V, who had organised the Holy League, spent the morning of the 7th of October praying the Rosary at the Basilica of St Mary Major. Later in the day, he stopped his work, looked to Heaven, and proclaimed that God had granted victory to the Christian forces. Indeed, conservative estimates place the Turkish losses at two-thirds of their 300-strong fleet- something from which the Turks would never recover. Pope Saint Pius V proclaimed the Feast of Our Lady of Victory, upon whom all Christians should call for intercession against the forces of evil. Later, the feast would be rededicated to Our Lady of the Rosary.

Lepanto-Rosary

The Rosary itself was seen as the real weapon behind the victory by both St Pius V and Don John of Austria. Recognising the intercessions of Our Lady to God on our behalf, Catholics have proclaimed the Rosary as one of the greatest weapons against Turk, Pagan, and Modernist. Bl Pius IX, the Southerner’s Pope, said that, were he to have an army praying the Rosary, the Church would “conquer the world.” Pope St Pius X, scourge of modernists,  called the Rosary the “most rich in graces of all prayers.” Father Abram Ryan, Poet-Priest of the South (and undoubtedly a Saint in Heaven), lauds the Rosary as central to life in his hauntingly beautiful “Rosary of My Tears.” The apparitions of Fatima and Akita both called on the world to pray the Rosary in reparation for the grievous sins of the world.

Southerners would do well to remember this day, given us by God through the intercession of Our Lady, and proclaim and pray forever the weapon that routed the Moslems four centuries ago- the Most Holy Rosary.

Heritage Not Hate: An Effective Meme?

confederateflag-heritagenothate

The much used, though ill-effective, “Heritage Not Hate.”

In the storm that has encompassed the South during this Third Reconstruction, many have taken to defending the flags of the South in various ways. One popular phrase in the South immediately springs to mind: “Heritage Not Hate.” Our purpose is to analyse the effectiveness of this slogan.

The greatest problem with “Heritage Not Hate” is that it puts the person propounding it immediately on the defensive. The initiation of any potential debate begins against the person making the statement. For example, we may use the following hypothetical conversation.

Southerner:  “Heritage Not Hate.”

Non-Southerner: “What Heritage? Why is it not hateful?”

Right off the bat, the conversation is turned to attack the very thing being defended. The set-up is very vulnerable, almost begging for an assault. The defender will be spending all their time trying to explain why he is not hateful (or a racist) and why and what heritage is and means to him. This is not an effective slogan at all.

Secondly, the persons attacking the flag already hate the South’s heritage. Not only do they hate the South’s heritage, but they hate the product of the South- us, modern-day Southerners whose very existence prevents the “United States” from becoming the secular, Puritanical “City-on-a-Hill.” They don’t care if our flag’s not hate; it’s opposed to their modern-day bohemianism and thus they hate it. The slogan is effective only amongst other Southern nationals, and thus is “preaching to the choir” and not appropriate for many demonstrations, especially when we are prosecuting against something or someone, like Robert “Scallywag” Bentley.

Thirdly, we need to make it known that the underlying issue is about peoples and not merely flags. The flag of Dixie (the CBF) represents people, and any attack on that flag is an attack on the people it represents (as Mr Steven Ingram said in Florida). Could a Russian tolerate someone attacking his flag? Could an Englishman separate his kin and kith from St George’s Cross? Flags are the embodiments of people.

So what is a Southerner to do? What means could he or she use to more effectively propound the Southern identity? Many alternatives come to mind.

“Stop Cultural Genocide” – This is the most popular of the new memes. Many have used this to great effect, putting forward the attack on the flag as an attack on the people. Even while opponents denounce its validity, they contradict themselves.

“Save the Southern People” – Or an alternative, “Save the South,” once again appeals to an identity exclusive to the South that the flag represents. Opponents would be forced to admit that they hate the South and her people in any assault on the meme.

“Feds Out of Dixie” – A more political meme, this should be used at rallies to make known Southern disagreement with Federal policies and the continuing Federal conquest against the South. It is best used with other memes which focus on Southern identity. By itself, however, it would certainly appeal to many Tenthers and conservatives and open into discussion about secession and its relation to people.

“Yankee Go Home” – This appeals to the Southerner against Yankee transplants and  implicitly puts forth Southern identity (here being opposed to Yankee identity).

The above list is not exhaustive, but is merely meant to offer substitute for the failing slogan “Heritage Not Hate.” We look forward to working more on this issue in the future, especially as more demonstrations are organised across Alabama and Dixie.

Nota Bene: Much of the discussion of memes stems from the work of Mr Michael Cushman. St Andrew’s News is indebted to his work, even if his specific articles on the subject are no longer available.

U.S. Response to Jihad?

DixieVsEnemies

It should be an important lesson to Southerners the South over to witness the great disparity in treatment that they have received in comparison to the Islamic community of the United States. While Southern symbols were banned by both Federal and State governments (usually by Scallywag Republicans betraying their voters), the symbols of Islam have been allowed to fly freely. While Southern symbols have been banned by mega-corporations, these same corporations see no problem in representing the signs of Islam.

It is the perfect juxtaposition; the South’s St Andrew’s Cross compared with the Islamic world’s ISIS flag. Both are battle-flags, only one has received public outcry.

The tragedy in Tennessee has served to show Southerners the blind hatred that the U.S. government and media have for their identity. This act was not representative of Islam, they maintain, even while Jihadists slay countless persons in Libya, Nigeria, France, and now Tennessee. While the actions of Roof were solely his own, how can the repeated acts of violence from countless Islamists go without condemnation? Why the double standard to Southerners, the lack of civility?

The lesson? The United States government, indeed, most of the Republican Party, cannot be trusted to treat the South in a fair manner. They would rather see Dixians displaced by men like Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez and witness the horror that follows than allow for the South’s interests to represented. After all, radical relativism and radical Islam are both edges to the same evil sword striking against the South.

Just as the acts of ISIS’ destruction of Assyrian monuments is an affront to the ancient Christian minority there, so also should the U.S. attacks on the South be seen as nothing less than our attempted genocide.

Mobile Council Sides with U.S. Imperialism?

Imperialism may be defined as one nation extending its power and culture over another’s to the point where the subjugated has little control over its own history or ways, these being supplanted by the conqueror’s narrative. While many good, moral empires have existed (including, but not limited to, the Austrian,  Portuguese, and Spanish Empires), the present-day “United” States would hardly fit into that category. Instead, this Empire sees fit to destroy the history and identity of the very people it claims to represent. Many times it finds useful puppets (like Bentley the Scallywag) to further this end. The Mobile City Council is such a puppet:

 The Mobile City Council voted Tuesday to remove the Confederate flag and other banners from the official seal of city government following complaints that the Old South symbol depicted racism and intolerance.

The 6-0 vote, from which one member abstained, means only the U.S. flag will remain on the seal of the port city. A version of the Confederate national flag and four other historic flags will be taken off.

As the above article relates, only the United States flag will remain on the City of Semme’s seal. This is very telling, showing that these traitors have little interest in preserving Alabama’s Little Rome from the scourges of U.S. Imperialism. The message: we are not Southerners, but “Americans.” While the self-described “progressive” council seeks to be seen as inclusive, it becomes intolerant of the very thing that made it great.

It is important not to become discouraged by the actions of high-handed individuals like these. While they seek to eradicate us from existence, we should realise that this decision resulted from a vote of seven persons in a city of 200,000 souls- hardly representative.

Feds Rule Against Marriage

 Federals Marching Boldly Forward

Federals Marching Boldly Forward

Our black-robed handlers have now decreed that Sodomite “marriage” is a right that is to be enforced in the states. As LifeSiteNews reports,

In a 5-4 ruling handed down this morning in Obergefell v. Hodges, the justices ruled that the Fourteenth Amendment requires states to offer marriage licenses to homosexual couples. That overturns a ruling from the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, based in Ohio, which held that the univerally recognized right to marry applies only as marriage has historically been understood: the union of one man and one woman.

Looking at the decay around us, especially at the cultural genocide being inflicted on our people, it comes as no surprise as to the court’s decision. The steps to ensure this egalitarian ecstasy had been laid long before our own time. In fact, one could trace the move (as the article above relates) back to the anti-Southern 14th Amendment, which provided the legal foothold necessary for advancing such a decadent decision. How will the states react? It is clear, just as Roe v. Wade has shown, that the Federal government never backs down from policies they implement- Republican or Democrat making little difference. There are two steps left as recourse. Firstly, the states must nullify these overreaches, and then they must declare independence as a means of safeguarding the Sacred Institutions and the culture at large.

The Federals have waged war on every aspect of Alabamian life, from our Sacraments to our symbols. Now is the time to act; there is no room for complacency.

Republican Betrayal, Again?

CBF

In the wake of the tragedy of the Charleston Shooting, what should have been a time of mourning rapidly degenerated into a political frag-fest. Republicans are trying to out-scream their Democratic “opponents” in the defamation of the Confederate Battle Flag.  Former Republican presidential runner Mitt Romney personally called on South Carolina (and presumably the entire South) to

Take down the #ConfederateFlag at the SC Capitol. To many, it is a symbol of racial hatred. Remove it now to honor #Charleston victims

If one Yankee sticking his nose in wasn’t bad enough, Jeb Bush (possibly the future Bush III) gloats over his anti-Southern actions, noting,

My position on how to address the Confederate flag is clear. In Florida, we acted, moving the flag from the state grounds to a museum where it belonged.

No doubt Jeb Bush would want all Southerners (himself being a Yankee transplant of the Bush variety) relegated to a history footnote, with highlights over the words “racist” and “evil.” His compatriot, the Chairman of the Republican National Committee, Rince Preibus, also blowed about his anti-Southernism:

Proud to stand in SC today with & SC leaders to call for removal of the Confederate battle flag

The traditional anti-Southerners have continued their venom here and abroad. Alvin “the Chipmunk” Holmes continues his inane diatribe. Meanwhile, mega-corporations are systematically banning the CBF.

The entire framing of the issue is completely skewed- what should be a condemnation of one individual has somehow (predictably) turned into a condemnation of the South. Many are acting as if the state of South Carolina “owes” the victims the removal of the Confederate Battle Flag. An independent, acting alone, with a possible mental condition, somehow speaks for the entire South? Dylann Roof speaks for no man but himself. His action was idiotic, counter-productive to his own stated goals, and, ultimately, harmful to the South and to the memory of Rhodesia.

On a happier note, South Carolina State Senator Lee Bright defended the flag and the Southern people against the vile attacks, stating,

There are those of us who have ancestors that fought and spilled blood on the side of the South when they were fighting for states’ rights, and we don’t want our ancestors relegated to the ash heaps of history. Through the years, the heroes of the South have been slandered, maligned and misrepresented, and this is a further activity in that.

We call upon all Alabamians to pray the Rosary for the intention of saving the flags of the South.
