As we reflect upon Alabama’s anniversary of independence on this coming 11th, we should also look at Alabama’s illustrious 200 years as a State.

Our government has put forward a grand Bicentennial Celebration to welcome these two centuries. Notable among the activities is the Alabama “PastPort,” a little travel guide which one may get stamped at various historic locations around Alabama.  Check out the list if your curious whether your local landmark made the cut.

This is the perfect opportunity for Alabamians to enrich our understanding of our own  home.
